About UsKristina Guerrero-Sisneroz For Justice of the Peace
Kristina is your most experienced candidate for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5. Precinct 5 is the 5th largest Justice Court in the State of Arizona with 4,000+ misdemeanors (DUI, Domestic Violence, Shoplifting, Dog Cruelty...) and 2,000+ felonies are filed each year. The entire caseload is around 14,000 cases per year.
Kristina is a Public Servant and is the only candidate that has worked full-time and has prosecuted over 5,000 misdemeanors in JP5! She has done over 100 bench trials in JP5. And has the endorsement of the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police. No other candidate can say that.
Kristina is also a member of Kiwanis and reads to preschoolers, delivers stockings at Christmas, helps make dinner at Good Neighbor Alliance, Participates in Glow Rides (Food drives), is a member of the VFW auxilary and has helped serve food for our veterans and sell buddy poppies to raise money for our vets.
Kristina has not only shown through her organization and courtroom skills with trials, but has shown her dedication to improving the legal community in several ways: CARe court (Veterans, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Diversion); Teaching officers proper ways to do DUI investigations to protect the State and citizens, and trial workshops.
Kristina sits down every week with approximately 60 unrepresented individuals and helps them to understand the facts of the case, their rights, and work towards fair resolutions.
Currently, Arizona Laws do not require more than a Justice of the Peace be over 18, registered to vote in JP5 and speak English. This law has never been changed since Arizona was created and does work well in smaller jurisdictions that do not have the caseload JP5 has.
A decision in Justice Court can take away gun rights, custody rights, liberty rights (jail time), driving rights, and security clearance...not to mention challenges of constitutional infringements. Don't be fooled!
#DONTVOTEBLIND know your candidates, demand they show you dedication to the community and are fully competent to handle the legal caseload that will affect our community.
