Which is the Army?s capital for Intelligence, surveillance, and its unmanned aircraft systems. Fort Huachuca chose Southern Arizona for its weather and environmental factors. The elevation is at 4,623 feet, surrounded by desert and mountains. The terrain and elevation create the perfect training environment. It is hard to duplicate this type of training environment anywhere else. The elevation itself creates a more fit dog. Training takes place all year long, in different environments, all weather conditions, and our dogs are exposed to both night and day training.

The mission of CANTER is to promote the health and independence of individuals with disabilities or special needs using equine assisted activities in a safe and caring manner. CANTER is accredited by PATH International, the national organization that sets the standards for therapeutic riding centers throughout the country. CANTER is one of only three Premier Accredited riding centers in the state of Arizona. This accreditation results from on-site inspections by PATH International in which our programs, instructors, horses, facilities, volunteers, and documentation are reviewed.In therapeutic riding, the student actively performs exercises on the horse. The exercises are supervised according to a plan developed by our instructors. Physiotherapeutic exercises can be divided into stretching, relaxing, and strengthening. Additional exercises will influence equilibrium, reflexes, coordination, posture and confidence. Psychologically, therapeutic riding develops self-awareness and improves both self-discipline and concentration. The bond between horse and rider provides strong motivation for achievement. Our goal is to have students learn to ride to the best of their ability.

Peach's Pantry is dedicated to fighting childhood hunger in our community. Home of Kartchner Caverns. Kartchner Caverns State Park - Located on Hwy 90 in the Whetstone Mountains these unique caverns are the most pristine in the United States. The park just opened the Big Room to the public making the park that much more exciting. These caverns are living, growing, wet caves, and the moisture levels are closely monitored to make sure that they are not destroyed. You do need to call ahead for reservations as a limited number of people are allowed in to the caves daily. To get there, take I -10 east from town, exiting at the Dragoon exit (Texas Canyon). Drive east for 13 miles until you get to U.S. 666 and turn south (right), driving for another 6 miles. Turn west and drive into the national forest. San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area (NCA) extends from St. David, Arizona to Naco, Mexico. Singing Wind Book Shop - A working cattle ranch, birders paradise, picnic spot with wide open views of the Little Dragoon Mountains. San Pedro Valley Arts and Historical Society Museum - Art gallery and Historical Museum with changing displays and exhibits highlighting local cultures. Welcome to Unity of the Huachucas spiritual center website. Here you will find information about our various programs and classes, as well as details involving exciting, enlightening, and entertaining events throughout the year.
Here at Unity of the Huachucas, our aim is to continue to cultivate a diverse, good-hearted, and exciting community of students on their journey. We pray that all people find their right and perfect spiritual home, wherever that may be. We seek to attract vibrant and enthusiastic truth-seekers. We are a ministry-centric family where diverse guest speakers enlighten us each Sunday, with the Board of Trustees as the guiding light for the congregation.
Every Sunday morning at 10:30, we enjoy a lively and invigorating service, grounded in New Thought Christianity and inspired by the teachings of Jesus, as well as wisdom from other traditions around the world. Our guest speakers are diverse and inspired, bringing messages of love and joy. Throughout the month we have additional offerings, including book studies, Deeksha or Oneness Blessings, a Course in Miracles, and more. Today, MIKID employs over 150 trained staff offering support, education, and skills development to families and their children as well as youth and young adults who are experiencing mental health and behavior challenges throughout Arizona and, most recently, Colorado. This is accomplished through MIKID staff providing one-on-one family support, transitional age youth services, peer support, health promotion, support groups, training and education, both individual and community-based living skills, respite, and connecting families and individuals with natural supports in the community. MIKID's approach is grounded in the focus of assisting families and youth to have a strong and respected voice in the services they receive, the systems that provide those services, and their community at large. These services are unique in that those staff providing many of these services are family members, parents, and young adults who have personal ?lived experience? in dealing with behavioral health needs. MIKID requires all staff who provide services to the parents we serve to have ?lived experience?.
MIKID is a non-profit, licensed Outpatient Clinic, Family-Run organization in Arizona and Colorado and contracts with all the AHCCCS Complete Care Health Plans, Regional Behavioral Health Authorities (RBHAs) and several of our Indian Communities. MIKID currently has out-patient offices throughout Arizona in Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma, Casa Grande, Nogales, Kingman, Bullhead City, Sierra Vista and Pueblo, Colorado. In addition, MIKID offers in-home and community supports as well as prevention education to communities across the state. MIKID is a member of several organizations: The State Chapter of the Federation of Families for Children?s Mental Health, NAMI Arizona, the Arizona Council of Human Service Providers, Mental Health Awareness Coalition, and PAFCO (Protecting Arizona's Family Coalition). MIKID staff participate in local and State level committees and task forces throughout the communities we serve.
